Welcome!
Life is hard! And reaching out for help can be intimidating, I strive to make my office a space where clients feel seen, heard and valued.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. My educational background has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and the complexities of personal and relational dynamics.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including a child advocacy center and a domestic violence shelter. These experiences have deepened my compassion and commitment to helping those facing trauma and adversity. I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges and discover their strengths.
**Therapeutic Approach**
I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. My approach includes:
**Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)**: Helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns to foster healthier behaviors and emotional well-being.
**Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)**: Equipping clients with skills to manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships.
**Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)**: Encouraging clients to embrace their thoughts and feelings while committing to personal values and meaningful actions.
**Faith-Based Interventions**: Integrating faith principles into therapy for those who wish to explore their faith as part of their healing process.
**Play Therapy**: A therapeutic approach that uses play to help children express their emotions, resolve conflicts, and develop coping skills in a safe environment.
I am passionate about empowering my clients to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and self-compassion. Together, we will work towards your goals, fostering growth and a deeper understanding of yourself.
